End-of-Life Mentoring: A helping hand through caregiving, grief, and end-of-life decisions
As we age and become the elders in our families, many of us find ourselves quietly worrying about questions like:
- What is going to happen to me?
- Who will take care of me?
- Will I have the financial resources I need?
- How do I talk with my family about what truly matters to me?
- What do I need to do to get my affairs in order?
For others, the weight is even heavier.
The loss of a partner, a parent, or a child can leave us stunned, grieving, and unsure how to move forward. Grief can narrow our vision and make the path ahead feel impossible to see.
You do not have to face end-of-life issues alone.
I provide a safe, compassionate emotional space, along with practical guidance and resources, to help you find your way through this tender and often overwhelming territory.
Why I Do This Work
I consider it a great privilege to offer others the kind of help I wish I had while caring for my mother during the final nine years of her life.
At the time, I was unprepared and overwhelmed. I felt scared, angry, and uncertain about how to get the support we needed. But it was also a time that deepened our love for each other as we navigated, largely on our own, the many challenges and the unexpectedly tender moments we shared.
As the fulfillment of a promise I made to my mother on her deathbed, I now share what we learned together, along with the insights I gained through subsequent research for my book, Making Peace with Death and Dying.
Through both personal experience and years of professional work, I have come to understand how unprepared most of us are for the realities of aging, caregiving, and dying.
Too many of the approximately 2.8 million Americans who die each year, and those who love and care for them, move through this experience feeling emotionally isolated, frightened, unaware of their options, and unprepared practically, emotionally, and spiritually.
You deserve more support than that.
I invite you to schedule a free conversation to see whether I might be able to offer you the guidance and support you need during this time.

Meetings take place in person, by phone, or on Zoom. All work is kept strictly confidential.
Who This Work Is For
I work with individuals and families who are navigating the realities of aging, caregiving, serious illness, grief, or end-of-life decision making. They want support that honors both the practical challenges and the deeper emotional and spiritual dimensions of this stage of life.
Some people come to me feeling overwhelmed and unsure where to begin. Others arrive with specific questions, difficult family dynamics, or a quiet knowing that something important needs attention. Wherever you find yourself, this work meets you where you are.
What This Work Is and Is Not
This work is not about fixing you, diagnosing problems, or telling you what you should do.
It is about creating a safe, grounded space where you can slow down, sort through what matters most, and find clarity and steadiness in the midst of change. Together, we attend to both the practical realities you are facing and the inner experience you are living, so you can move forward with greater confidence, understanding, and peace.
